Otherwise it's biz as usual, just booked another Wedding in Scenic Story Wyoming. We were in Keystone, Colorado for a few days...a gorgeous place and are heading to Big Horns for the 4th of July weekend.

Happy Memorial to everyone, I hope you have a great day!.... We are hangin' out and BBQn'.... Went to the car show yesterday and shot about 200 images, so I've got some fresh stuff to work on for myself. I'm going to do a whole series of images of cars, motorcycles & whatever else that's IRON...under the theme Iron as Art. Otherwise its biz as usual at the Studio. Alrighty gotta run check the BBQ. OMG - It has been forever... I know...there has been so much going on, I could list it Alphabetically. However I wont bore you with any of it. Just be sure things have settled down and I am back on track. I have been shooting like mad.

Recent Projects have been some weddings, Second Wind Performance, and some family stuff.

O.k. so I will bore you with a bit of detail - We moved, that was probably the biggest nightmare - not the studio - just us. So it took forever and I had no energy for anything but that and trying to work.

So anyways I will post one from this weekend and there are more to come.....

Yea its been a bit...but things have been crazy busy. So just a quick update....Halley's Wedding was a smashing success and there will be some great images. Also did another round of Senior pics and those are lookin' good so far. So I have like hours of edit time to get all this done.

We hope you had a great St. Patty's day, we went to a fabulous dinner party at Amanda Smiths' place. What a hoot and got some great pictures there...I might post one...but she might kill me.

Ok, almost caught up...Halley's wedding is one week away and I have to be ready to give her my utmost attention, not to mention the amount of images I will have to edit.

Tomorrow I have a restoration project and shooting some furniture. Then I have to get to backing up and reorganizing some files...3 months into the year and still haven't done it...it's boring and totally non-creative, but must be done.

Yea here I am late again....just a quick update... Got Janet's bags all done. If you haven't seen them, they are Awesome. Check out her site www.jlouise.net and you can buy them locally and from her site.

Brittney and her Mom came to check out her pics, they were very happy. There is some serious satisfaction for me when people are excited about there images. I take each image as if it were a work of fine art. No two are processed the same. Each one is given individual attention and becomes a creation in its own. Ok ok...that was a bit deep for this time of night...but true nonetheless.

It's late and I'm wiped out. I shot the Casper Youth Hockey Tournament this weekend and it was crazy.

Things are certainly busy, shooting another round of handbags for JLouise this week and another round of Senior Portraits. I haven't even finished Brittney's yet..but I promise I will this week. I also have Halley's wedding at the end of the month. Overwhelmed all at once...That's fine though Bring it on....LOL

So I'm going to bed, but I wanted to get something posted. So I will chat later and leave you with one from the weekend.

OK OK, I know I've been lazy and not posting as regular, so I'm on it. The truth is been doin some work around the house til late in evenings and the been sleepin' in..I know no excuse right..

So yesterday had a great Senior Shoot, and did engagement pics earlier in the week aaaand shooting a youth Hockey Tournament this weekend. So I've been busy. The Hockey shoot outta prove fun and since its my first real try at sports shooting it proposes some challenges.

Well another week is coming to a close, I'm ready for Sunday....We have nothing booked, so I think I'm gonna relax.

Today I have a gal comin' in to discuss a restoration project and we locked up the Hockey Tournament, so I gotta get a flyer done for that. I went to the rink and shot one of the local teams practices...that went well So I think I can get some good stuff, those little guys are pretty cute in their hockey get ups...

I got both sets of Senior pics all edited and they came out great. I'm sure they will be happy.

I'm seriously tired of this cold weather, ARRRRGH... I know its still winter, but I'm ready for spring anyways.
It's been sorta busy, got a couple more weddings booked and preparing to shoot a midget hockey tournament at the end of the month. This will be a new experience for me, as I have not done a lot of sports shooting. We are going over on Wednesday to shoot a practice to get a feel for it and decide what gear we are gonna need to take.
So, I'll let you know how that goes.

Shot 2 Seniors on Sunday, both went really well and we are gonna have some great images from those shoots. Still workin' on the images from Yellowstone. I have updated my main site so check out the new print page for some of those images. I need to get the main Gallery updated and that is on this weeks list.

Well the trip to Yellowstone was good, not nearly as much snow as I had hoped. The road was open all the way to Cook City Montana, so no sprawling snow vistas. However got a few good shots at Mammoth Hot springs and got some wildlife. It was 40 degrees every day, didn't feel much like winter.

I also did some outdoor portraits for some friends, with their horses and a bit of "Western Photographic Art". All in all it was a great trip.

This week is busy editing and booking some new work. I have a senior shoot on Sunday and an appointment this morning to talk to a gal about her senior pictures. This month should start liven up with booking activity.

So I'm off for some coffee and get ready to meet this gal, I'll leave you with one from the weekend in beautiful black and white, just as promised.

Well winters seems to have a firm grip and I grow tired of it, ready to get out and soak up some sun.

We are headed to Yellowstone this weekend. I'm very excited and am seriously hoping the stars will be aligned so I can take some fantastic winter images of Mammoth Hot Springs and some wildlife. My intent is to shoot for Black and White, to get the Ansel Adams feel for those images. He has long been my photographic Idol.

Speaking of Black and White, my friend in Michigan, who is fantastic photog has put some great B&W's on his site so if you have a minute check out his Blog. I also have some of his images in the Gallery, for sale of course.

I have updated my main site with new portraits and some fine art work, so check it out. So that's it for today I'll leave you with an image I titled "Desolation"...it depicts Wyoming's harsh and unpredictable weather.

Well it's Saturday, yea I know, what the heck am I doin' here..... I thought I jot down a few quick updates. Got Corey and Mikes engagement pics done and booked another wedding this week. So over all it was a good week.

Looks like we are headed to Yellowstone at the end of next week. I hope we have good weather for shooting and the wildlife co-operates. We are goin' up on Friday and coming back Monday. It should produce some fantastic winter landscapes.

Well tonight is the "Infamous Birthday Party"....every year we throw a party for some close friends 'cause our Birthdays all land this month, mine being Wednesday. We also make it themed, this years is Drag Queens....yup a bunch of freshly 40 or 40 something guys dressed in drag and there spouses dressed appropriately. It's always fun time.

Well it's Tuesday and the wind is a whippin'...enough already. We had a great weekend though and the weather was perfect. Shot some engagement pics for Corey and Mike. They came out really good.

This week is pretty busy, Wednesday is full up with appointments so we should book some stuff from that. I also have some stuff to edit for myself. The time just flies it seems, one day rolling into the next. Guess it happens when you get older, and since the big 40 is looming near it'll get worse...HA.

If all works out we are headed to Yellowstone the last weekend of the month to shoot there and in Jardine Montana. The Elk and Big Horn Sheep spend some time where we are headed. So I hope that will produce some good images.

Well the weather has been nice...until the wind decided to blast away this morning. However a couple nice days got me out for some shooting. Sunday we went up on the mountain, wow it was nice and I got a couple keepers out of that run.

I have a pretty light schedule the rest of the week, unless the phone rings. January is typically a bit quiet. Gives me some mental regrouping time. We should start adding to our already booked weddings next month, as people start to decide what their plans are.... We are also preparing our senior picture campaign and a few other advertising deals.

Hope ya all have plans for a fun weekend, we are having a small dinner party with some of the staff of the Open Range Magazine/Glenrock Bird. So that should be fun.

I just spent about an hour updating my site. So have a look at the New Prints page, I'm sure there a few more to put up but I will get to it. If you surf it, you'll need to refresh your browser.

Just a quicky today, We had a full day of editing and biz stuff yesterday. I also did a restoration for a previous client. I really enjoy working on those old photo's and having the client see the finished product is almost as good as watching someone pick out their portraits during the proofing session.

Wow it's seriously cold this morning, the Whippets don't want any part of goin' outside today. I can't say as I blame them...I don't really either.

Well I'm off to it..Got a pretty big order to place today for several people and a wedding to book. Looks like the year is starting out pretty good already. Let's just hope it continues. I'll leave you with another Urban image.

Yea yea, I've been terribly lazy and not writing regularly...So It's a new Year and I'm on it. In my defense I was really sick for about 5 days and still haven't kicked this crud all together.

Well it's snowing again, we seem to be really having winter for a change. I am ready for some warmer temps though.

So, after my downtown shoot, I have been inspired a bit to shoot a photo essay on the poor economy. So I have been working on that a bit, I must say the idea really came from Amanda Smith at the Open Range Magazine/Glenrock Bird. So Amanda if you read this it is your Idea...Ha ;) So I'll be posting some images around that theme as it develops.

Well we are certainly excited for a better year than '09 and I'm sure you are too. We got a call on New Years Day to shoot a family that was together for the Holidays, so I'm taking that as a good sign as well as sold a the first fine art print of the New Year on that Sunday... So off and running we are!
